Lead Generation on LinkedIn [INFOGRAPHIC]

One of the biggest questions in social media marketing is: “how do I actually make money from this?” B2B marketing is especially tough on social media, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

This fantastic infographic from Oktopost (whose tool we’ll review next week) illustrates how LinkedIn can be a powerful lead gen tool for B2B marketers. Some of the key points from the graphic are:

  • The vast majority (86%) of lead conversions on LinkedIn originate from discussion posts.
  • 1/3 of these posts end with question marks, meaning that answering questions is a valuable tactic for lead gen.
  • The average length of the posts that convert is 248 characters, meaning concise and professional beats long-winded and rambling any day of the week.
  • And of course, LinkedIn leads the way with 80% of all B2B social media conversions.

Thanks for including this infographic again Jamie, I had missed it the first time around but was talking about this subject this afternoon with a client. The way this gives visual, precise and measured information that can be utilised to good effect was well received as my client specialises in Business Intelligence in Europe (particularly the UK and Germany) so understand perfectly the need for data to be turned into valuable information that can be used to make qualified decisions.

    • Great to hear from you Chris. Thanks for your kind words. I’m glad we could be of help!
