50 Amazing Facts About Mobile Marketing

Not long ago, about the time I wrote Go Mobile with Jeanne Hopkins, we compiled a SlideShare deck for HubSpot that included 50 amazing facts about mobile marketing. When the deck was first uploaded to SlideShare, it received 165,000 views. (For comparison, the average SlideShare deck gets a few hundred views.)

I’ve embedded the SlideShare deck below so you can read through it. Here are a handful of the amazing facts you’ll find in it:

  • 91% of Adults have their mobile phones within arm’s reach 24/7 (Source: Morgan Stanley)
  • 25% of Americans use only their mobile devices to access the internet (Source: GoMoNews.com)
  • 9 out of 10 mobile searches lead to action. Over half lead to purchase. (Source: SearchEngineLand.com)

If you’re interested in learning more about mobile marketing and if you’re trying to collect data on the subject, check out the deck below — it’s packed with great information and insights. Enjoy!

  • The statistic about 90% of text messages being read within 3 minutes of being delivered - I wonder if it is still true. I suspect not. I am beginning to see signs of "text message fatigue". I also have my doubts about whether the prediction about mobile phones overtaking PCs as the most common web access device is coming true.

    • Hi Vehkyiyer -- I wonder about text message fatigue, too. On the other hand, it's such a widely-used tool, it may be around for a while. Thanks for stopping by!

  • After chiming in on "Why QR Codes Are Dead." I couldn't help but check out the QR code within the slide presentation. While obviously not dead, they can be used to peak curiosity, and while curious, I was pleasantly surprised by the landing page. Well played Mr. Turner, well played.
